Note I haven't tested these features thoroughly yet, I will be doing a lot of preset editing to prepare them for polyphony and will be utilising these features. **Build 160** Convert / Duplicate Lane / Module Features: - Added "Convert to Audio / Instrument / MIDI" menu items to the lane's actions menu. - This should make it easier when editing presets, especially when trying to make them polyphonic. - Note this means that incompatible modules will be removed and input and/or output fields be set to off. - Added "Duplicate" menu item to the module's actions menu. - Duplicating modulator modules also duplicates the modulation targets. - Added "Duplicate" menu item to the lane's actions menu. - After duplicating a lane, duplicates of the modulator modules that had targets on the same lane as the modulator will have the duplicate modules as targets.
I'm experimenting and I might have something soon.
Maybe group them as well so you have a module/container with modules, or is this a seperate new feature?
Hubert-Jan Hubeek: Yes this should be a separate feature. I do plan to have various types of module grouping containers.
The first type of module grouping I would like to do is one that allows independent processing chains on the same lane. For example, imagine a lane like this [G1: VA1 Pan1] [G2: VA2 Pan2], where G1 and G2 are module groups on the same lane. And VA1 and VA2 are oscillators. Then Pan1 will only be applied to VA1 and Pan2 will only be applied to VA2, and then the signals will be summed.
Nikolozi: o that would be adding so much! Maybe something for a paid upgrade!
Hubert-Jan Hubeek: I believe Mela is a great value for money 😊
Yes, thanks for adding this. Was planning to add this in feature requests. Copy/Paste/Duplicate Lanes and Modules would be super useful.
Implemented in Mela 4.7.
