Introducing Mela Lab

Overview: - Introducing the Mela Lab module category. - The feature will allow experimentation and trying out new ideas without worrying about making breaking changes. - Modules that prove to be useful will be refined and become part of Mela. - And the uninteresting ones will be removed. - If you end up using the Mela Lab modules in your music, be sure to bounce the audio/MIDI produced by these modules before the end of each session. - They aren't guaranteed to sound or work the same version to version. - 2 news modules to get things going: [Multiply-Add](https://mela-feedback.nikolozi.com/feature-requests/p/mela-l…) and [Audio-to-Mod](https://mela-feedback.nikolozi.com/feature-requests/p/mela-l…).

Brilliant idea will these be for the main app or on the beta ?

Apr 27, 2024

Paul Collins Will be in the main app. The benefit of Mela Lab is that it can be public and anyone can provide feedback, not just beta testers. Plus, modules can stay in the lab for a long time without feeling pressure to wrap things up for the prime time. So they won't be rushed. So, v5.3 will be released with 3 Mela Lab modules.
